Bree Newsome Bass on “Tearing Hate from the Sky” (KEYNOTE SPEAKER)

An American filmmaker, musician, speaker, and activist from Charlotte, NC, Bree Newsome Bass is best known for her act of civil disobedience on June 27, 2015, when she was arrested for removing the Confederate flag from the South Carolina state house grounds in the aftermath of the Charleston Shooting. This address is co-sponsored by WSU’s MLK Program and Common Reading Program as a joint keynote event, along with sponsorship by several units across the WSU system. This talk is for the WSU community only, and will require a password for login to the online presentation.
