Cyber Security Awareness Summit
October 25, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
FreeThis event, sponsored by WSU Information Technology Services, will feature several speakers addressing issues of cybersecurity in our increasingly online world. What are the threats? And what is being done to protect our personal, corporate, and government information? Agnes Kirk, the chief information security officer for the State of Washington and advisor for the Department of Homeland Security, will be the keynote speaker at 9 am. Other speakers from industry will follow:
10 am: Terry Boedeker (FireEye) on cyberwar
11 am: Ryan Witt (Proofpoint) on the human factor is online scams
1 pm: Bruce Hembree (Palo Alto) on law enforcement and malware
2 pm: Ken Westin (Splunk) on theft protection and law enforcement tools
3 pm: Adam Hahn (WSU EECS)
