Free Speech and Inclusion on Campus

March 29, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Howard Gillman, a leading constitutional scholar and the chancellor of the University of California-Irvine, will talk about recent questions regarding free speech on college campuses–including uses of cyber speech.  Recent events involving controversial speakers and groups have raised concerns about how university communities can protect speech while also ensuring an environment of educational equality, free from hate and harassment.  This lecture is sponsored by the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service. Verification of attendance available.
