Impact of Incarceration on Black Families

At this Foley Institute Panel, Shenique Davis (City University of New York) and Bahiyyah Muhammad (Howard University) will discuss the effects of imprisonment of especially parents, and how Black families develop resilience. Hosted by the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service with cosponsorship from Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honors Society, Black Student Union, Black Women’s Caucus, Criminal Justice Graduate Student Association, the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Department of Sociology, School of Languages, Cultures, and Race, the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
