Do the factors for and experiences of food insecurity differ based on environment? What are the effects of food insecurity for rural populations? This talk by WSU sociologist Sarah Whitely looks in-depth at the extent of food insecurity in the rural setting, the unique factors contributing to this issue, the coping strategies used by rural food-insecure community members, and the challenges and effects faced by the rural food insecure.
