Patricia Glazebrook (School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs) Introduction to Issues in Africa

To participate in this live, synchronous event, join Patricia Glazebrook’s presentation using Zoom. Glazebrook, whose research has taken her to Africa for the past 18 years, will provide a starting point to understand some of the context behind Trevor Noah’s memoir.  Drawing on her own experiences researching women, climate, poverty, agriculture, and conflict/genocide in Africa, Glazebrook will provide a brief account of the consequences of colonization/partition, its ecosystem and geographical magnificence, as well as its tragedies of conflict, corruption, poverty, and environmental damage.  Hosted by the WSU Common Reading Program (Pullman).
