“Public Square Panel on WSU’s Work to Reduce Food Waste and Encourage Food Recovery”

Every year Americans throw away nearly 60 million tons of food–that’s almost 40% of the entire US food supply! However, WSU is addressing this issue in many ways that you may not be aware of. Come hear panelists from Waste Management, Dining Services, the Cougar Food Pantry, and the Center for Civic Engagement talk about the many initiatives that are making significant progress in addressing food waste behind the scenes across our campus! Hosted by the Center for Civic Engagement and the WSU Common Reading Program.
