Screening of “An Inconvenient Sequel” and recorded Q&A with Al Gore

December 4, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

The global energy crisis of 2044 provides the background for Ready Player One and is a primary reason that the book’s characters have retreated to the Oasis.  This 2017 film, a follow-up to the 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth, explores the current climate situation as well as the emerging energy revolution that could prevent the environmental future Ready Player One predicts. The documentary follows former Vice President Al Gore as he travels the world to promote the goal of overcoming climate change with human ingenuity and passion. The film is 98 minutes long with recorded Q&A with Gore and local discussion to follow. Sponsored by the ASWSU Environmental Sustainability Alliance and the Student Entertainment Board. Verification of attendance available. (Grey Key event)
