Cities are complex systems of energy, food, water, people, and infrastructure. Cities house most of the world’s population and are places where many decisions about the environment occur. Many people in cities may live their entire lives without leaving an urban setting, perhaps not even realizing how connected their health and well-being are to the ecosystem provided outside, and sometimes even within, the urban area. Come and see poster presentations by students in SOE 110 that compile a semester’s worth of research, analysis, systems thinking, and planning for solutions for many of the world’s mega-cities. It will be a wonder of “soonish” possibilities that may improve and/or ruin everything! Verification of attendance available.
