Stephany RunningHawk Johnson (Oglala Lakota Nation) is an assistant professor in WSU’s College of Education helping to shape science curriculum in ways that inspire indigenous students as well as students from all backgrounds. She brings her background as a middle school math and science teacher to her work, and she is currently collaborating with several regional tribal communities. She is the co-editor of On Indian Ground: A Return to Indigenous Knowledge—Generating Hope, Leadership, and Sovereignty through Education in the Northwest.
