Storytelling in 3D Spaces

March 27, 2018 @ 9:10 am - 10:25 am

Brett Atwood, clinical associate professor in Communications and Integrated Strategic Communication Director at WSU’s North Puget Sound at Everett, will host a panel discussion about storytelling in virtual reality–using VR technology itself. Much as Wade participates in classes via the Oasis, Dr. Atwood and his panel will be joining students on the Pullman campus and Global Campus via Virtual Reality. Discussing the possibilities and challenges of storytelling in 3D spaces will be Torley Wong, a senior producer at Linden Lab (maker of Sansar and Second Life) from California, and Benhard Drax, an ethnographer who studies people in Second Life participating from Munich, Germany. Come to not only hear about but also experience life in virtual reality. This event is sponsored by the Murrow College of Communication as part of its annual Murrow Symposium.  Verification of attendance available.
