“The Peace Paper Project” (hosted by WSU Tri-Cities)

October 9, 2019 @ 3:10 pm - 4:00 pm

Drew Matott, papermaker and guest artist, will speak about the Peace Paper Project, a program he co-founded in 2011 and brought to the WSU Tri Cities campus. Through this project, Matott has worked with veterans, students of migrant farmworking backgrounds, and others who have dealt with trauma and loss, while also providing an introduction to the art of hand papermaking. The project provides individuals with a way to express and process their memories and experiences by means of hand papermaking and by preserving artifacts in a physical work of art. This presentation is part of the Tri-Cities Common Reading Program and will be delivered by Zoom to the WSU Pullman campus.   For more information, see https://tricities.wsu.edu/peace-paper-project-provides-therapeutic-outlet-commemoration-for-students/  Verification of attendance available for those who view this talk in Kimbrough 101.  It may also be accessed by PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android at https://wsu.zoom.us/j/812947313 with Meeting ID 812 947 313.
