(Canceled) Screening of Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man with Panel Discussion, Part 2

March 24, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

(Please note: This event has been canceled.) Former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho launched this series in 2020 to fight one of the two viruses we faced in this devastating year: the virus of the mind-racism. With over 70 million views across 10 episodes, Acho sat down to discuss race and racism with many people from the Petaluma Police Department to Chelsea Handler to Carl Lentz to Chip & Joanna Gaines. Participants will view Acho’s “uncomfortable conversation” with Carl Lentz, Pastor of Hillsong, New York about race, religion, and the role religion plays in fueling and/or killing racism. Following the brief film, participants will discuss their thoughts and observations with the panel. Hosted by the Office of Outreach and Education.
