(Zoom) “Anti-racism Training,” Xyanthe Neider
January 28 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm
This session will illuminate anti-Black racism in order to see the historical rootedness as the thread that is interwoven through current policies, practices, and pedagogies. The facilitator will discuss why it is important to center antiracist work on deeply understanding anti-Black racism and focusing on Black students to begin the liberatory work that lies ahead. Neider received her Ph.D. in higher education administration from WSU and now serves as the Director for Teaching and Learning at Whatcom Community College. Hosted by the Office of Outreach and Education.
