“Children of Syria” 2016 documentary

September 17, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Some 6.7 million people—more than a quarter of the global refugee population—have fled brutal violence in Syria. This Frontline documentary chronicles the stories four children caught in that violence. Filmed over three years, it follows a family from their struggle to survive the siege of Aleppo by President Basar al-Assad’s regime, to the devastating kidnapping of their father, to the beginning of their new lives as refugees. “These children, if we give them a future, they will benefit their homeland,” their mother Hala Kamil, says in the film. “They will rebuild it.”  Verification of attendance provided.
