The Common Reading Program is screening this 2022 documentary in honor of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls (MMIW) National Day of Action and Awareness (February 14). Although Indigenous women make up less than 1 percent of the population of the United States, they are murdered at a rate more than 10 times the national average. Bring Her Home follows three Indigenous women – an artist, an activist, and a politician – as they fight to vindicate and honor their missing and murdered relatives who have fallen victims to a growing epidemic across Indian country.
