This year WSU is undertaking a year-long consideration of issues of food, hunger, and food insecurity in conjunction with use of Priya Fielding Singh’s How the Other Half Eats as the 2024-2025 Common Reading. Come see this 2019 documentary by Geeta Gandbhir that puts these issues squarely in the context of campus life through its exploration about the growing number of students at U.S. universities so financially strapped by tuition that they don’t have enough money to eat.  The documentary explores not just how this hunger crisis is unfolding on American campuses, but also about what can—and should—be done about it.  Hosted by the WSU Pullman Common Reading Program (shown earlier at 4:30 p.m.; and also Sept. 3).
