The Case for DACA: The Supreme Court and DACA

March 3, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Last year, the Supreme Court heard arguments on the case challenging the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA). The Court is now poised to rule on the case this year. Luis Cortes Romero, a graduate of the University of Idaho School of Law and who is also a DACA recipient, was co-counsel at the Supreme Court. He will talk about the policies that are at the heart of this case, the structure and implications of the arguments made before the Court, and the potential outcomes of the Court’s pending decision. This event is co-sponsored by the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service, the Pullman League of Women Voters, and the Common Reading Program.

Verification of attendance available.
