Master papermaker Drew Matott, the founder of the Peace Paper Project, will talk about the origins of his work using papermaking, bookbinding, and printmaking as a way to heal trauma and commemorate important points in people’s lives. In his talk, Matott will describe how he started making paper as a way to commemorate his father and how he has developed programs making paper with combat veterans and survivors of disease and violence. He will relate his experiences with these populations to Born a Crime. Hosted by the WSU Tri Cities campus.
