“Smart Technology for Aging in Place” (panel discussion)

March 19, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Panelists include the team of Diane Cook, Regents Professor, EECS; Shelly Fritz, Nursing; and Maureen Schmitter-Edgecombe, Psychology. This panel will present on the ground-breaking work being done at WSU to create “smart” environments to improve health care. Using insights from their respective fields of computer science and electrical engineering, nursing, and clinical neuropsychology, these panelists are pursuing cutting-edge interdisciplinary research that will extend the functional independence and quality of life of our aging population. Come hear how this interdisciplinary collaboration is developing technology that may help your grandparents, parents, and even you some day. This event is one of several celebrating Women in STEM at WSU. Verification of attendance available.
