Following the thread of environmental issues that underlie Ready Player One, the ASWSU Environmental Sustainability Alliance is presenting a second screening of Chasing Coral, a 2017 documentary that examines how coral reefs are vanishing at an unprecedented rate around the globe due to rising ocean temperatures.  The film follows a team of divers, photographers, and scientists who set out to document and better understand how climate change is radically altering the environment just below the ocean’s surface. Zack Rago, a young evolutionary biologist and self-professed “coral nerd” who is a featured in the film, will be speaking on campus on April 18 for Earth Week. Verification of attendance available.
